Matters of the Heart
During your times of distress, ask yourself what hurts the most. When you are up late at night, tossing and turning what are you thinking about? You’re thinking about how to solve your problem. If you could change anything, what would it be?
The part that scratches the bottom of your soul, is the fact that what you can control is limited. Life’s greatest problems cannot be changed by us. All we can do is change the way that we react to them.
What choices are you making? You can make choices that contribute to your problem. In fact, if you are making choices that are adding to your mess you are taking control. You are giving your circumstances power over you.
You may not realize it, but you feel so bad about it because you are letting your life live for you. Life is not always a bed of roses. If it were, how could we appreciate their sweet smell. If you’re always walking on the clouds, then it would be that much harder to walk across nails.
Life does not always have to be in extremes, but when it is remember to learn from your experiences. Take the power of your life and choose how you will react. Don’t let your circumstances live your life for you. Live a life with purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. Live a powerful life.
